Looking for a gluten free appetizer for the holidays? Look no further than our chimichurri steak bites. Simple marinated delicious steak from Urban Butcher, on top of delicious roasted baby potatoes, you really can’t go wrong. Beware, these won’t last long!
600g tri-tip steak
1kg baby potatoes
2 tbs olive oil
To start, we need to marinate the steak in the chimichurri for an hour. This will help to tenderize and infuse flavour.
Preheat the oven to 400F. Cut the baby potatoes in half, toss in the oil and season with salt and pepper. Place on a tinfoil lined baking sheet and bake for 20 mins.
Place the marinated steak in a large baking sheet or dish and place in the oven with the potatoes. Bake for another 20 mins. Remove the potatoes once they are tender and crisp on the outside, and the steak once it reaches an internal temperature 120F.
Once the steak is done, cut it into approximately 1.5 inch cubes. Place a steak cube on top of a potato wedge and piece together with a toothpick. Plate and serve immediately.
