Mozza Balls

As soon as I tried the mozzarella balls at Famoso, I knew I had to create this at home. With delicious, good-quality ingredients, this recipe is irresistible and a definite crowd pleaser. Five minute prep and 20 minutes in the oven will make you look like an italian appetizer superstar, regardless of whether it’s a Tuesday or Saturday. Pair it with a Big Rock Grasshopper for extra style and flavor points. Sprinkle in a soft (or very soft depending on how many people you know) offer to share on Instagram if people come over to hang out. Now that is how you make friends.


1 450g log of fresh mozzarella, cut into 10 slices
10 slices of prosciutto
1 700ml jar of tomato sauce


Preheat the oven to 350F.

Wrap each slice of mozzarella with a single slice of prosciutto. Place the wrapped the mozzarella slices in a single layer in a 9x13in dish. Cover everything in tomato sauce and place the dish in the oven.

Bake for 20 mins or until the mozzarella is mostly melted.

Serve 2-3 per person.
