Fig & Prosciutto

A simple starter that can be used as a sharing plate or an appetizer (you can serve with crackers or bread if you wish). The salty prosciutto is balanced with the sweet figs and balsamic crema, fresh mint and creamy goat cheese. Simple to put together – and by that, we mean literally place it on a plate and let everyone enjoy. A quick and easy starter perfect for any gathering.

INGREDIENTS

5 figs, sliced lengthwise into quarters
4-5 slices of prosciutto, torn
100g goat cheese (chevre), crumbled
1/4 cup mint, sliced thinly
2-3 tbs balsamic crema (a thick balsamic reduction)

INSTRUCTIONS

On our serving plate, layer the prosciutto, figs, mint and cheese. Drizzle with balsamic crema and serve. Yep, it’s that simple.
